Hydro Power

Construction of Civil and hydro Mechanical Works for 21.5 MW capacity Bhilanga Hydro Power Project is the first Venture of IVRCL in Hydro Power Sector

  • The project is located at Tehri Garhwal Distt. Of Uttrakhand at an elevation of 1000 m from MSL and comprises of following main components:
  • Construction of Weir structure across river Bhilanga of 1160 Sqm. Base area and 5 Mtr. Height
  • 23 Mtr. Height intake structure with 2 Nos. stop log gates, 2 Nos. intake service gates trash rack screen and Hoist.
  • 24 Mtr. Height bottom outlet structure having 2 Nos. stop log gates, 2 nos intake service gates trash rack screen and Hoist.
  • 840 Mtr. Long inter-connecting tunnel of 4 Mtr. Dia shoe intake tunnel
  • 187 Mtr. Long x 12 Mtr. Width x 24 Mtr. Depth underground desilting chamber.
  • HRT-1: 70 Mtr. Long modified horse shoe type tunnel 4 mtr. Dia
  • Aqueduct: 147 Mtr. Long, 3.75 mtr. Dia MS pipe completely encased by concrete, joining HRT-1  &  HRT-2.
  • HRT-2: 1230 Mtr. Long modified horse shoe type 4 Mtr dia
  • Surge Shaft: Vertical, eccentric type 16 Mtr. Dia x 20 mtr. Deep at top and 6mtr. Dia x 20 mtr, deep at bottom with gate Hoist.
  • 427 Mtr. Long, 3.25 Mtr. Dia steel pen stock
  • 47 Mtr. Long x 28 Mtr. Width x 33 mtr. Height surface power house for 3 units of 7.5 MW each with Draft tube gate & Hoist.
  • 30 Mtr. Long open Head Race Channel.
  • 184 Mtr. Long, 2.5 mtr height D-Shape silt flushing tunnel having 1.2 Mtr. Dia steel flushing pipe inside, fitted with 2 Nos. sluice Valves.
  • Under ground tunnel work passes through Himalayan rock strata and supported by steel ribs. Complete tunnel is concrete lined of 225 mm thick.
